I'm currently feeding the first, but the Topspec works out much cheaper. How do they compare with each other. I know they are both balancers, but are they comparable? Thanks,
from what i understand, the top spec lite is suitable for thos prone to laminitis. For those with laminitis top spec do a specific balancer top spec lami light.
I use top spec lite for my lami prone boy, it is low sugar, got no cereals and is the lowest calorie balancer you can get.
My boy is doing very well on it and is £25 a sack for 20 kg.
The top spec one is called anti-lam, I had my cob on it when she had laminitis. I thought it was brilliant and top spec are very helpful if you call them. Although my cob didn't make it I'm glad I gave her this as it was the highlight of her day on box rest xx
Ask each company for a nutrient specification and then you can compare them. In general though i think you pay more for blue chip products because of all their advertising, which has to be paid for somehow!
