Blue eyes ?

My mare has just had a foal which will spot out as she already has a spotty bum and speckling around her eyes, stud has said she will proberly roan out and get chestnut spot along with the white ones. It was not untill 2 days later I noticed she has two blue eyes as well, I am extremely pleased with her eyes has I do love blue eyed horses but I have had a couple of negative looks when I tell people she has blue eyes. What is it about blue eyes on horses that some people dont like ???.

Hi, are her eyes really blue, blue, or just that kind of kitten/puppy blue?
You may find that her eyes will go brown over a few months. I have had several foals that changed from blue to brown. It will be interesting to see her colour changes.

Ignore what people say about blue eyes, she's yours not theirs for a start. It is only a personal preference, I can't say that I'm overly fond of the colour bay but I still have 2 of them.

I personally hate blue yes and I don't know why to be honest but I just do not like them. I think horses with blue eyes look a bit weird, I wouldn't ever buy one that had blue eyes.
Matter of personal taste.

Thanks for the link, I really hope her eyes stay blue they seem to be going lighter not darker so fingers crossed. But then I will still love no matter what colour they end up being.
