Blue Lights Horse Of The Year Show 2011

Have just heard that the Blue Lights Horse of the year show is going to go ahead this year xx The show is aimed at all emergency service personnel who ride there own horses - all money raised is going to Help for heroes and Air Ambulance - well done to organisers we were all sad to hear the show was cancelled for 2011 xx

Thats great news. Do you know where it will be held as when I spoke to the organisers they said Aintree wouldnt allow them enough space and it wasnt viable to run there?

Yes it is on at Aintree if you PM me your email I will try and get details sent to you. I believe one of the main sponsors dropped out hence why it was going to be cancelled ? Which would have been such a shame as it is an excellent show

Just checked it is definately Aintree from Friday 22nd - Sun 24th July, they are doing dressage on Friday intro - Elimentary with Dressage to music on Friday evening. Saturday is Show Jumping 2'3 - 3'3" and Satuday evening is Top Point score jumping. Sunday is open to members of the public and is Showjumping for Seniors and Juniors. Can't wait x

As one of the organisers of the show, I can definitely confirm that the show will run from 22-24 July at Aintree Equestrian centre.
Entries are welcomed from any blue light service (Police, Ambulance, Fire, Coastguard etc) There will also be classes for members of the public on the Sunday. Please spread the word, as the only way that the show will be a success is if it is well attended.

Im also still looking for sponsors for classes if you know of any Companies or individuals who would be interested.

I was so disappointed when I heard that the Blue Light HOYS wasn't being run this year as I've competed at the last two shows. If I had known it was running both me and my friend would've liked to come along. I could've given my new horse an airing...... never mind, may be next year..........
