Well I braved the weather and arrived at Bluegate to find that I was listed at an earlier time than I had been told, so after a minor(read major) panic I found that the wrong list had been put up on the board, phew! Tacked up in a major thunderstorm wondering what on earth I was doing this for and went to warm up. Patrick warmed up beautifully, the rain had stopped by this point so I walked up to the arena whereupon the skys opened again. We did a not very good test for Nov 25 where Patrick decided it was much more fun to canter than attempt medium trot and medium canter was more like gallop!

Still he enjoyed it

Got 61.something% and 5th so not too bad a score. Waited around for a bit (taking advantage of the delicious cheeseburgers on offer

) then tacked up and warmed up again. I was first one in the elementary and Patrick went very nicely I thought and so I was over the moon to get 65.6% and 1st place woooohoooo

How did everyone else do this weekend?

I know I can't believe it, mind you my next outing now is the Area Festival as the lorry is going in for plating next wenkend and I am off on holiday the weekend after that.

Seriously, bloody well done. Sooo proud of you!!

My competitive weekend has gone a little pear shaped as Finnus has self removed a back shoe! So Star and I are making our showing debut tomorrow!

What a naughty Finnie! Good luck on your debut outing tomorrow, I expect a full report.

Thank you I really am - right off to refill my celebratory wine glass now as someone seems to have emptied it

Wow that's excellent! You're racking up the elementary points now - looks like the 14 point buffer will come too late for you!!!

Wow well done, wasn't the weather the pits. We went to hastingwood for our first elementary. Similar thing happened - the heavens opened in the warm up, Molly got cold and wet and after initially warming up like and angel decided that EVERYTHING was scary including my friend calling for me so she was rather on the spooky side, also I forgot the end of the test and couldn't hear my caller so ended up stopping and asking her to read the movement again oops. Ended up with 61.3% which wasn't bad considering.

The weather was dreadful with thunder crashing around, I did wonder what I was doing there at one point. Well done - 61.3% is really good especially as you stopped, its really not helpful when its raining so hard you can't hear the caller.

Did you manage to escape before that lorry got stuck in the car park entrance? Poor people that felt awful as nobody could leave for about 40mins.
Well done on your first excellent.
