Well against what felt like gale force winds we went off to Bluegate, nearly lost the lorry on the way there as the wind was much stronger than I realised. Warmed up ok but still have the same hanging on the right rein problem. Went in and did an ok test except Patrick went into showing mode and over the diagonal tried to go back into canter when he should have been trotting but the rest of the test was ok. Came away with 61.2% which I was a little disappointed with but as I haven't seen the sheet yet I will be interested to see if it agreed with what I thought. Second test was ridden in extremely high winds almost blowing us off the central line and I just couldn't get him off his forehand so not too pleased with this one especially as our own Finn MacCoul was watching intently from the judges car, I think the least I could have done was ridden a decent test for her to start her training on

I'll let her tell you how bad it was from where she was sitting

So not a great day but could have been a lot worse. I have managed to get booked in to get saddle rechecked yet again as I am still not convinced it fits properly. So onwards and upwards

Well done for not getting blown away

You were officially, the first horse and rider combo in my training! Congratulations!

Was not as bad as you think! Although it all blurs in to one as I watched so many horses today

So how did it go? I'm surprised the car didn't blow away! Was it interesting to be on the other side?
Edited to say sorry I have just noticed I've added an a into your Mc

So interesting. Lovely judge, spent ages talking to me about training and explaining her reasoning behind marks.

It actualy got really hot in the car once the sun shined on it.

Was a real mixed bag of horses too, so learnt lots.

Am off to Oldencraig on Fri and then Stilebridge on Sunday for more of the same.

Been sat here for an hour meaning to start my blog, but keep getting distracted!

So, what do you think is up with the little white one? He didn't look bad

I thought you did well Jo in that wind especially after I said he was looking like a donkey!!

I am still trying to get grit out of my eyes!

Come on start your blog or I'll have to start nagging you

I'm not surprised it got hot in the car it was beautiful out of the wind. The little white one is just hanging really badly on the right rein and when you are working on the right rein doesn't feel as though he is using his left side very well. The physio found a very sore patch behind the saddle on the left which she worked on but the saddle is still lifting at the back so I think it is probably new saddle time as we have tried to adjust it but it isn't working. Like I need to buy a new saddle!

No falling off allowed!

What a bu88er. Well, at least once you get over the financial shock you can enjoy saddle shopping

Starting blog now...is going to be terribly boring, as usual!
