I will have to put dogs in kennels for 4 days. Old dog never been in kennels, young dog dont know about but came from dogs trust so has been in kennels.
I looked at one kennel which takes 70 dogs, immaculate, looks very well run, nice exercise paddocks.BUT the noise from the barking was horrendous, the kennels all very close together ,even the "quiet" block was noisy.So bit concerned older dog will be stressed out by this. Second kennel, a private home with 10 kennels.However, these are small, a bit tatty and slightly claustrophobic (to me) run by an elderly couple and only a garden for exercise.However a friend who is quite fussy always leaves her dog there ! Dont know what to do,old dog previously stayed in a house with one other dog on several occasions , but they are fully booked up. Im stressing out about going away already !
