Bob Martin Puppy flea and tick spot on

It says from the age of 2 weeks old? Seems young. Anyway, what flea treatments do you use on your litters of pups? Been leaning towards this one, but is it any good?
All the animals are done regularly, the cats and other dogs etc. Just wanted to hear oppinions, popping into the vets later.

Do not use it on them, i used to work as a veterinary nurse and i have seen some very nasty reaction to this stuff. I would highly recoment frontline spray!!!!

Would only use Frontline for my dogs

But then my dogs are never treated as they never have fleas - luckily I dont have cats

I wouldn't use ANY BM products. There are much better & safer & more effective poducts available.

BM products are a waste of money.

Anything strong enough to actually work needs to be bought through your vet.

Ah sorry, twas a while since my VN days and you could only buy frontline through vets then!

Oh definitely - I cannot believe that people will buy stuff from the supermarket or similar and think it will be OK!

BTW - not suggesting the OP is like that at all, the observation is just from visits to my local Tescos

Agree with this 100% - and not only does most things seem to react to this, they don't work.

Please get puppy flea and worm treatment from your vet so that you get the right doses.

And also be aware that BM is a repellant, it doesn't kill the flea eggs. FInally the active ingredient, permethrin, is fatal to cats.

its rubbish and a waste of time and money. frontline spray is safe to use from 2days old. thats wot i use for my pups.

I wormed my 6 week old puppy with BM wormer and thought he was clean as nothing in his poops but he still had a pot belly so i did him with Drontal and the next morning his poops were full and i mean FULL of worms.So i wouldent waste my money on any BM product again.It dosent work.

Interesting... when my Yorkie was about a year old I used a supermarket flea treatment, I think it was Canac, and he was really ill afterwards for several days.

I now use Frontline in the summer as it also deals with ticks, and Stronghold during the winter as it also deals with mange. My dog is fine with both of those.

BM's kills cats, but have also seen nasty reactions in dogs. stick to Frontline/Stronghold/Advocate - they work and are safe.
