Bob's Dodgy Foot Update..!! Vibes?

OK, so vet arrived this morning, and we took off poultice, it hadnt drawn out alot of infection, but there was a bit of junk on it

His temperature was back to normal, which was such a relief, and although he was still hopping lame, he was a bit bedtter

He was given some ore anitbiotics to help him fight of any infection, but the Vet doesnt think hes out of the woods yet. She hopes that any infection that might be there will just be in the sole, and not near his pedal or navicular bone, which would mean mega money-a problem as he's not injury insured

So shes comeing tomorrow to take an x-ray of his hoof, to see what the extent of the damge is, and we can make any more decisions from there...

I just hope he'll be ok-he's such a lovely boy

Lots more vibes for him, it's a pretty common injury which doesn't normally cause complications, hopefully that'll be the case for you.

My girl has just done a similar thing but not as badly by the sound of it, twisted a shoe and made a hole in her sole with the side clip a week ago, but fortunately she's remained sound so have been poulticing and keeping it clean, now got the go ahead to leave it uncovered and keep disinfecting it (and hoping!)
