Have had a BHS survey today asking what I thought about having to pay a permit to ride on Bodmin Moor. Rather than send it back I have done it on line but I hope anyone else in the area who gets this will complete it on line or send back by post. They want to charge us £50 a year to ride on the moor which has been ridden over for generations. In my opinion the commoners do far more damage than horse riders driving land rovers and quad bikes around. We have gates that are difficult to open or fall on you and paths where water erosion has worn out deep chasms and which are never touched. I do not believe that anything would change if they got an income from riders. In an era where it is difficult to ride on the roads safely it seems we are being hounded where ever we go and if it happens here that piece of moor you ride on will be next. Hope everyone who receives the questionnaire will return it.
