My pony was gelded in April, he was quite 'strong' looking before with a big neck. He is much more slender now and his neck is still a nice shape but definitely not as cresty
My Welsh D was gelded last year as a 4 year old. His attitude has toned down a little since then, he's more chilled although still has his stallion tendencies. Regarding bodily changes, his cresty neck has slimmed down a bit although he does still look like he could be entire. That's about it really, other than he has grown and filled out more!
Years ago I had a rather nice Anglo-Arab colt. The vet advised against gelding him at one saying I should let his shape develop so we left him until the following year. I've since heard some day that it makes no difference. Any thoughts?
My Shetland was gelded at 5. I now find I have to be a little bit more careful with his weight. Previously he must have had a far higher metabolism as he could be out on any grass with the others and stayed slim (literally he was a slender Shetland!) now he looks like a classic little porker and I have to restrict his grazing a bit more and put more thought into taking care of him.
