Body Protector Debate- Yes or No?

Must admit I n ever have worn one... but I do have alot in the 'ahem' 'boob' department to stuff in, tried a few on and none go round properly... so always done without - although i think I would get alot of confidence from wearing one TBH....

i wear mine for everything except dressage when im riding on a surface/good ground - it's not that I don't trust my horses, I can sit on well but you never know when they might trip or fall. When i'm doing ODEs I think I am the only one to wear one in the SJ but as my mum always tells me "better safe than sorry". It's also like a security blanket for me and afterall it's your own choice wether you wear one or not

Would get on a horse without one. I have the Rodney Powell, it's tight to get on but once on it's super comfy. Wear it hacking (after being thrown into fences, walls, stones etc) schooling (after being thrown into fences, walls, stones etc) and ofcourse jumping (after being thrown into fences, walls, stones etc)

I only wear a BP for competing XC (and in training for it as well obviously). I never wear one for SJ or at home. I have fallen off in a BP when I wore one SJ many years ago and it made me land so flat on my back that I was badly winded. I know being winded is nothing compared to worse injuries for not wearing one but it freaked me out! I would never NOT wear one for XC though as falling off onto a wall or whatever is not a nice thought. When SJ though, poles fall down...!
