Body protectors?! Reccomendations please

Find myself in a bit of a cuffufle. I've decided i need a new bp for Christmas, but i just don't know which one to get! Preferably aiming to get something not to expensive, but i'd rather have the protection when it comes down to it. I am aware there is a new 2010 saftey level, so really want to get one with this standard too.
Which ones would be similar to the fit of an "airowear" bp? The main ones i've been thinking of are the:

Rodney powells
Racesafes
Champions

Would be intresting to here from anyone who has got the Champion. It's cheaper than the others and has the 2010 standard, but it looks more bulky tbh.
Would be doing some shows in it and jumping/xc as well. :)

love the racesafe! doesn't hinder me riding at all, often forget I'm not wearing it.
also, great for me as I am quite chesty *cough* so conventional body protectors often don't fit me properly, or I can't breathe in them!
the racesafe moulds to my body shape, so def my fave brand.
 
Consider a Kan - moulded to fit your shape, and by all accounts, incredibly comfortable. Another plus point, is the foam does not degrade over time. Therefore, although it may be more expensive to start with (but not horrifically so!), you won't be looking to replace it in three to four years.
 
I know this is not on your list but I have the airowear outyline bp and it is so comfy, it moulds to your shape and if you get the ladies style it does not squish your boobs!

Airowear make it in mens, ladies and kids styles ( not sure if its on sale yet)
 
airowear, swear by it, very comfy and allows a lot of movement, actually built like a racesafe so similar comfort but (unless you doing xc and want colours) looks a tad smarter i think... worth every penny
 
Ahh im getting a new bp for christmas too :D

Ive looked at and tried 4 on:

Race safe : It was really comfy and i forgot i was wearing it, but i decided, although i know its safe, it didnt feel safe to me because it was so light (i know it sounds silly :o )

Rodney powell: It was quite hard to get on at first, but after a couple of mins wearing it it softened up, and the ladies in the show said it would mould to my shape and it would be alot easier. This was my favourite of all as it wasnt too bulky, but i felt safe enough in it. Although, i did find the zip got stuck once, but they said once it moulded to me it would be easier, but im not sure how that would affect the zip :confused:

Champion:
1. Without a zip: I found this one was bulky, and stiff. It didnt fit very well and theres no way id be able to put it on by myself if im honest (could be because of my short arms, but it was difficult enough with someone else helping me)
2. With a zip: Same as above, but it was easier to put on, although the zip was tough and kept getting stuck.

I ended up getting the rodney powell one, as it was my favourite, it was the right price and, if i start doing some xc :eek: then i can get the shoulder protectors for extra safety :D
 
Double ditto the Kan :D

D1 has one and loves it :D. Tried it at YHL and actually missed it when she took it off! Rides in it now and forgets she has it on. She was riding in an Exo before and I have noticed that she looks a lot freer in her body movement than she did before, though she'll still wear the Exo when going cross-country (I have a fear of rotational falls!).

I have the RP, but find it's very confining. Okay once it's been on a while, but when I've fallen whilst wearing it, after trying to find where the Dizz had gone, my next and immediate thought has been "Get this bl00dy thing off me!". So saying, it probably saved me from being paralysed, so praise where it is due :)
