Wonder if any of you can help?

Im going Body Protector shopping but not sure which one to get?!! There are just so many on the market now.

Ive got the option of getting an Exo BodyCage at a good price but there are conflicting stories about them both good and bad. Have any of you used them?

Recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I use the Racesafe RS2000 as I tried lots on and hated the rigidity of most of them; the RS2000 is made up of loads of little squares of foam so it bends around you and fits more closely, IMO.

The only way is to go and try on as many different styles and makes as you can - and make sure they are all fitted properly for you. My old one was a Rodney Powell and my new one is an airowear - it just fitted better. There are all sorts of sizing options, back lengths etc.

I love my Rodney Powell have had several over the years and I find them comfortable and protective. I haven't got huge boobs which is a major consideration when putting a body protector on. The most important thing is to ensure it has been fitted perfectly by an expert. I see so many people out there with badly fitting body protectors and they are actually dangerous in themselves.

Another vote for the Racesafe here. I have recently bought one, and can honestly say I have never worn one more comfortable. It offers excellent protection but is so flexible I hardly know I am wearing it!

Daughter has an Exo - loves it, alwayswears it when riding, can moveeasily in it

Thankyou for the responses.

Im tempted by the exo as its such a good price. Ive heard they are difficult to get in and out of, do you find that to be the case?

Mark Phillips argument against them is that they prevent you from rolling. I will need to go and try it on then roll around on the floor to test it.! :-)
