Hi I am looking to buy a more comfortable body protector, at the moment I am wearing an equitheme one which I find really big, bulky and uncomfortable. I have been looking at Airowear Outlyne, Airowear Reiver Elite or the Rodney Powell Elite. Problem being I need to buy one online so can't get to try them all on to see which I prefer. Does anyone have any preference? Thanks:confused:

I love my airowear zippa, but make sure you try the BP's on before buying them online as they're all different shapes, lenghts etc, I would try and aviod buying without trying if at all possible :)

Are you quite small, or small on top, size 8/10 and boobless?

I've got the Just Toggs one and although they are on the cheaper scale of the market, its the only one I've found that fits me well and that I'm comfortable in, its actually a childs XXL, because I'm quit narrow (shoulders/hips) short in body, where as others are too long behind and two wide around the chest where your arms come out off, so you can move around in it freely without feeling like you have one on, but I guess it depends on your frame.

I recommend the Racesafe RS2000.
It's the only one that I know of which is actually comfortable to wear. Before I bought this I would only wear them if I had to, for cross country, and I always felt restricted and I hated them.

Anyway, I wear my racesafe most of the time now, because it is comfortable, and it's definitely saved me a few times. I've had 2 falls whilst wearing it, both were quite nasty and I landed in a jump in one of the falls and I was completely unhurt.

Anyone got an opinion on DMS body protectors? Any good, comfortable?

I hope you don't feel I'm hijacking your post Quartz but I am also doing body protector shopping so I figured we'd both benefit from the answer to this question. :-)

I like my Airowear Zippa, pretty comfortable, and moulds to you. I don;t like the Rodney Powell bp's I find them really bulky, solid and uncomfotable.

I've got the Airowear Zippa Plus which I've been happy with for years but after trying on my friends Racesafe 2000 which is a little less bulky I've now bought one of those.

Hi,

I have the Outlyne and find it the most comfortable body protector i've worn. Like all body protectors it feels stiff to begin with, but once you put it on, it moulds to your body really nicely.

Another Racesafe vote here! Just bought one after years of not wearing anything (at PC as a kid I had a Rodney Powell but always remember hating it). I LOVE my Racesafe to bits, and it was fully custom made for me as I am a short ass, and still only came to £165.
