Body Protectors

Right Ive decided I dont like my new Champion Cobra body protector! Its a bit too bulky round the middle and the back bit keeps banging the back of one of my saddles which is so irritating!

There's a type Ive seen which is nice and close fitting (very neat), I THINK they're the rodney powell ones?? What are these like? Otherwise, what other types are good?

Really, I want one which is as tidy and comfy as possible (I HATE bulky)! Must be level 3 obviously (XC).

I have a Racesafe one with the zip up the front and the seperate panels, its so comfy, i changed from one like yours and this is completly different i strongly reccomend them! xx

I love my Rodney Powell! Mine hits the cantle of my saddle but apparently you can get ones with a shorter back. It doesn't feel bulky at all, I forget I'm wearing mine but it does feel a bit like trying to breathe in space when you first put it on! I was advised to loosen it to put it on but I usually have no-one to do it up again so I suffer for 5 mins then forget it's there!
I used to have one similar to a Racesafe one, it was much more comfy as it's much more flexible, but I don't know if they're a lower-level BP? That's just a guess though, I don't know!

I have a racesafe 2000 which is extremely comfy as its made up of seperate blocks so it moulds alot easier. It laces up at the sides aswell so you can adjust depending on what you're wearing underneath it. Also comes in any colour!

I would definately recomend it and wouldnt change it for anything else at the moment.

I have an air o wear level 3 which I event in love it. They come in different sizes and lengths. Its really comfortable. I tried the Cobra and felt I was wearing a bullet proof vest!

i have a rodney powell and also have the arms that attach on! very comfy and it works very well! fallen off enough times to know! hate wearing mine SJ with a jacket but is SO comfy XC!

but when i stop growing i will get a racesafe as have heard very good things about them!
