Right, i need a new body protecter, i will get it properly fitted but was wondering which one to get? Im quite short in the back and fairly broad. So which one...

I've got the Airowear Outlyne. They come in different lengths and sizes and allow for busts :) I love mine and always wear it hacking. Just as well as I had a bad fall recently when the horse slipped and landed on me and the only part of me not bruised, grazed or strained was the area covered by the BP. Guess it's covered its cost :)

I've got a Kan after recommendations on here.
They are basically custom built to your measurements, so you can't try before you buy, but Wendy who owns the company is very helpful and if you don't like it when its delivered you can send it back and get a refund.
I really like mine and don't notice I'm wearing it.

I have tried outlyne, they didn't have the women's so I am waiting for it to come in but tried the men's (I am very short in body and broad) and it was a good fit although I would need a short. I also tried a race safe which again was a good fit so torn between the 2. Borrowed a friends spare for hunter trial and it popped open half way round !

I have recently returned to riding and bought a Harry Hall one online (the female shaped one). It feels bulky though so can't imagine it being comfortable to ride in. Should I send it back and get a more expensive comfier one?

I found the Outlyne bulky and was a poor fit on me. Racesafe wasn't much better. I've just bought a Dainese Balios 3 and it is a much better fit on me. I'm short but wide and busty.

You really need to try them on as what suits one won't suit another :)
