Body protectors

Hi all!

I'm going shopping for a new body protector today. I'm on a bit of a budget (about £80). What would you suggest for comfort, and free movement (i don't like feeling restricted)?

I dont know if you can get it for £80 but I will say what I say to everyone! Rasesafe RS2000! They are amazing, you really cant beat them. Even if it is a bit overbudget it is well worth the litttle bit extra, you definatly wont regret it! My mum is soooo tight and it was well over our budget but now she is going to get another one for my sis because it is just miles better than anything else!

I would love a racesafe but they are about £120 I think. I bought a Rodney Powell one for round about your budget and have found it absolutely fine.

In an ideal world I'd have a racesafe too, but I don't!
I have a Rodney Powell which I feel perfectly comfortable in, and is certainly miles better than the old aerowear one I had!

I wear Rodney Powell - Love em, comfy, took some getting used to as I'd been riding for 20 years without one but now feel naked without it

I used to have an airowear zippa which was lovely but the zip kept breaking and eventually couldn't be repaired, have an airowear wrap round one now it's really comfy but is quite bulky.

Racesafe 2000 all the way - honestly you don't even feel like you're wearing it - £120

i agree racesafe are great...i hate ll bodyprotectors but i manage with racesafe

Yep I first got the racesafe because I was riding youngsters and needed protection as they are so unpredictable - but my rodney powell was so huge i didn't have the range of movement i needed. Got the racesafe and havn't looked back

just to let you know... i went with your advice and got the Racesafe one. £111 later! But it was so comfortable and really easy to move in!

Agree with Racesafe RS2000. I was advised to get one on here about 2 months ago. So glad I did! I had a Cobra which was too rigid and banged the back of my saddle driving me nuts. The Racesafe is brilliant, so comfy I totally forget Im wearing it! I think mine was £90 something...... cant remember where I got it now though..... You see them on Ebay sometimes.
