My mare already has a thoroughpin, and tonight I noticed another swelling on her other hock. However it is not like the thoroughpin it is in a slightly different place (but still on the outside side of her hock) if that makes sense?
Am I right to think it could be a bog spavin?
It also doesn't feel like her thoroughpin- it isn't as squishy and the shape of the swelling is longer and narrower.
Can anyone give me some info about bog spavins, i.e. treatment, future, as the last thing she needs is more time off
I've also noticed both of her hind fetlocks are quite swollen, as both are swollen i'm thinking perhaps windgalls?? But she has been having trouble bringing her hinds underneath her lately so am hoping its nothing to do with this!!
Thanks in advance.
