yearling, not lame. Leave alone or investigate cause?
That is the conundrum. Its been decided to leave alone and do nothing at the moment beacuse of the insurance issues. Also the yearling is moving normally and isnt in pain. If he goes lame will get the vet out asap.It would depend on whether you had insurance. My 5 year old has just been diagnosed with OCD after a series of very expensive xrays and a scintography, and will now have to have a arthroscopy in both hind legs. If the horse is not lame you may have the option of steroid treatment which could reduce the inflamation but you run the risk of further problems in the future if it is caused by ocd which your insurance company many not cover because of the previous diagnosis.
