Hi, I have a field shelter that is getting very boggy outside the entrance. Has anyone any experience of interlocking ground protection mats or grids. Any advice, experience or solutions will be appreciated.
My field shelter has an overhang and i have mats that the grass grows through under the overhang and going into the field entrance. They have really helped to keep the area good underfoot, however, they are only on the area that is not walked on by the horses during the day (ie up to the gate), as i use the field shelter as a stable not as a shelter to be used when turned out.
Meant to add this is not the correct time of year to put them down for best results they need to go down in the spring / summer so the grass has time to grow through and stabilise them.
