Hello all,
To re-fresh last Nov i bought a section A 3yr old filly at auction, worked with her, broke her in and took her to a few shows. However she always had a belly on her so when the vet came at the end of Jan i asked her to have an internal as i susfected she may be in foal. Vet said not in foal.
Then in June arrived at the field to find a small wet, coloured filly foal in the field with my 3 horses.

Its now six months on and i thought i would post a pic and see what you all think of my baby girl.
Her name is Lottie ( Epona Solstice Surprise)name aquired on this forum

She is naughty cheeky and often found sneaking into the feed shed for extras but we love her very much.
What do you guys think?

We have no idea who Daddy is but suspect he was coloured..lol
Mum is 12hh and Lottie is 11hh at the moment so i guess she will possibly make 13 / 13.2hh.
She is very fluffy at the moment and she has about 3 inches of beard ( santa pony )
thanks for your kind word glad you like her :O)

OMG exact same thing happened to one of my boss' mares, bought it, worked it fairly hard sprouted a belly, in Feb got vet to stick hand down and he said no baby - dropped a foal earlyer april!! and was coloured too!

I love the title, BOGOF, 6 months on

We had a similar situation, purchased my mare back in '92, she was in foal with a piebald filly, not that we knew at first, we purchased her on her own, but in fairness she must have only just got her leg over

A friend of mine bought a mare who had recently 'lost' a foal.....still had her baby belly but the vet who had done a pregnacy test, said it would go.
Well it didn't, it got bigger and bigger. Two more pregnacy tests and a grope later. Definately NOT pregnant.
The mare delivered a lovely healthy coloured colt in the January. Now I know that pregnancy tests can show a false negative, but I thought that the vet would be able to tell from an internal.
