Bomb proof horses...?

mine would walk past without batting an eyelid bless him. he is a stunner and makes me so proud. mine lived right by the m25 and is bombproof as far as traffic etc is concerned, he now lives on a working farm and had never seen a cow or a sheep before so that was a test but yippppeee all fine and dandy. last night the git decided to check out the tack room -its about a 2ft high step and very narrow - seemed quite happy in there but turning him round on a sixpence and leading back down was not easy, calm as you like, him NOT ME i was a little "shaken if not stirred" haha.
 
Cairo without blinking, he is bomb proof.

Chancer is only 3 and yes I would have ridden past, he may have had a couple of stops and looks if he was one his own, but if out with Cairo he would have gone straight past.

So far he has done everything I have asked him to. If in doubt I would have hopped off and led him. Being led he would not have blinked.

He has been led off Cairo past working combines- 10' away, grazed by working chain saws and bonfires, led past diggers etc from 18 months so though young, has been very exposed to the odd things in life as I wanted a fairly bombproof horse from the moment I got on him.
 
Without question Patches would have gone passed it, as would Tweenie and Oliver.

We have large tractors and a JCB on the farm that they have all walked past happily on a very regular basis. There's also some road works down our lane to sort out an underground storm drain that's been running over on the road. Diggers, tippers, fencing, traffic lights, generators..you name it. Very narrow lane and there's no time to let them stop and look at it as you have to trot through the lights else they'll have changed before you get to the other side. All of mine have been a hesitant the first time, but have all gone through it every time since then without batting an eyelid.

If you don't let them face their demons, they can never work out for themselves that whatever it is won't actually kill them.
 
Mine would have gone past ok as he was used to all sorts of vehicles and machinery.

He was funny about puddles though. Deep water/ponds were fine and he'd go in and enjoy splashing about, but he would never walk through a puddle of water. Round it via the middle of a hedge, jump over it, anything but through it.
 
Well I haven't yet met anything on Till's that she won't go past - she's been past roadworks, tractors, JCBs, big trucks, plastic bags/bins/boxes, a pneumatic drill, sheep, cows, small children running around screaming, boys having a big game of footy etc, etc. etc. So my guess is she would probably be ok, albeit with a good growl and a few pony club kicks! Not bad for a baby I think!

Mine would go past and just watch it because he's nosey, but it wouldn't worry him at all.

Yes, she would have gone straight past, they live on a farm owned by a digger obsessive. They are also really good with kids on bikes, heelies, skateboards, roller skates, space hoopers and buses.
