Does anyone use a bomber bit? Are they worth the money? My mare seems much happier with her ported bit in her double and I am pondering trying a ported bit for her snaffle bridle.

we did a bitting clinic and the guy switched one of my mares to a bomber and she loved it. it totally depends on the horse, might be worth trialling one from the it bank or the like?

I have my mare in a loose ring happy mouth bomber. She showed head shaking symptoms our first spring/ summer together with a reluctance to accept the bit. As it was i find the nose net a godsend (Its a pollen reaction but not sure what type but either a tree or rape seed pollen) I havent changed it, she has a rather fat tongue so it works well although i struggle with brakes int he loose ring but i prefer to school that out as much as possible first rather than up the severity of a bit!

Was it worth it? Yes because she likes the bit but it was brought for a symptom that was resolved largely by another product (nose net)

I've used Bombers bits since he first launched prototypes in South Africa nearly 20 years ago. He's a truly wonderful man, and his bits have always worked for me, on a wide variety of horses. Definitely recommend his bits.

Yes I have a couple.
1 Fuzzy goes v well in the loose ring bomber snaffle and the other is very settled in the eggbut.
Both have fleshy mouths, the one who wears the eggbut has a very short mouth and didn't go well in the loose ring but the eggbut saw changes for the better :) the one in the loose ring has quite a big tongue.
