Bone remodelling of c6/7 and back vertebrae

As above really-my 6year old Wb has had bone scans and X Ray's to confirm the above. No indication of any nerve impingement etc but his back ligamament is strained due to the inflammation in the area. So has 2 weeks of box rest and bute 6 weeks of walking I hand, 6 weeks building his trot back up on the lunge before we're back for rescans of his back-Newmarket have said initial rehab is to rest the back ligament to get that going again and then his neck will need work to rehab.

Has anyone had any experiences with this in such a young horse and what this could mean for his future career?

I've rehabbed my now 4yo after he had spinal cord trauma associated with vertebral fractures wing of C2 and C5. The cord trauma was at C5/C6 level. he did it rolling under a post and rail fence and getting stuck and only survived because he was seen and got out quickly.
At his worst he couldn't get up unaided and spent 10 days at the vets in intensive care. Vet reckoned he stood a good chance of recovery but expected him to be 18 months behind in his milestones

I used my arc equine on him as soon as he was home and physical rehab started at 6 weeks post discharge. My sports therapist is human and equine trained so she developed a rehab programme for him and he had regular sports massage alongside the ground exercises. At just under 6 months post injury vet discharged him as pretty much fully recovered. He has a very mild weakness behind but managed to pass his vetting at the futurity as a 3yo (and I was up front with the vet about what had happened).

He's now a strapping 4yo and off to be backed in May (provided he doesn't shoot up again, supposed to be 15.3hh and already standing 16.2hh )
