bone spavin and possible suspensary ligament injory outcome?

bone spavin and possible suspensary ligament injory....what kind of outcome can i expect to have with these problems? feel like it over befor it stated as my boy is only 6 cant seem to get a prognosis from vets.

p.s when i say "possible" this is what ive been told.... they have localised the pain to the suspersary area but then scanned there wasnt any abnormalities...... confusing right??????

Not sure I can help very much but just wanted to say I can completely understand how you feel. I am going through the exact same thing except that my horse does show damage to his suspensorys. (Just posted for help with the vets report)
I am told this morning by my vet that......
"Lots of people will opt for surgery but generally the long-terms of this are not great. Statistically the best results are from correct working on a good consistent surface with a well fitting saddle. Shockwave and medication seem to have a great effect on starting healing and in pain relief but effects are really very long-term."
"Statistics are all looking for rapid returns to work, in my experience most horses return to near or just below their previous level of work after 12 to 24 months with no breakdowns or horror stories."

My horse has had bilateral hind suspensory damage and bone spavin treated with shockwave therapy, Tildren and 9 months field rest.

She's now back in work (prelim dressage) and popping small logs out hacking. She's doing really well so please take heart
