Hi I was just wondering if many of you out there had any advice. I have a gorgeous mare who is rising 13 now and sadly this last 6months has been a struggle to get her sound. After having bone scans we have found out she has arthritis in the lower three vertebrae of her neck and the middle one has a rather large bone spur in it. We have managed to get her sound apart from on tight turns. I know that it will only get worse but she is such a hot horse that retiring her is out of the question she just ends up being too dangerous to let other people handle and also won't be turned out with other horses unless you want to see blood be shed. I've had her over 6years now and she means the world to me just want to try everything I can I keep her as happy and as comfortable as possible for as long as I can!
