Bones

I'd like to get our dog a bone or two to entertain her and to clean her teeth. I've read that she shouldnt have bones from weight bearing parts of the animal, presumably leg bones. Is there a specific type of bone I should ask the butcher for - I'm a vegetarian so dont have a lot to do with butchers!!

the dog is a terrier. She had some rib type things off the butcher previously - but she ate the lot. I thought she was only supposed to chew the meaty bits off, not eat the whole thing!

Got Morrisons nearby? The sell lamb bones 'for stock'. I got lamb ribs today for 57p, ideal size for a terrorist. Chicken wings are also fab. (Hold them so she gets the idea to chew, not inhale!)

I used to get knuckle bones for my terrier, also really leathery pigs ears.
