yeah i drive past it all the time, they have done it up and have 3 sets of up to height jumps. they had a show on last weekend but a lot of people were complaining because the ground was very hard due to the weather and they had to cut back some of the apple trees in the orchard to make room for you to be able to line up on the jumps. looks a good course
Went for a walk round it at last years hunter trial and a lot of the smaller fences were a little "homemade". My instructor went over there a couple of months ago and said there was a good selection of medium to larger fences but nothing really at the lower level......she said there was another instructor finding it difficult to give someone a lesson as the fences were a bit too challenging for her pupil. they have just had a hunter trial again with a smaller class so maybe tey have more fences now? Ground very firm over there, when Lockskinners was a quagmire, it was still ok there so must be like concrete at the moment......mind you think it's only £15??? If it's only hack away it's got to be worth a hack (maybe once we've had a bit of rain). Let us know what it's like if you go, pretty please
I used bonfleur three times last year its really good to start off on as there arn't any demanding up hill or down hill fences and there is a good range of jumps of all heights. Its mainly one big field with fences around it and a tiny little woods part with logs in and optional fences out. There is also an orchard with more demanding fences including an evil trekhaner at the far back.
It is a very nice place in all and i'd definately make full use if it was near me. There are also a couple of TROT ride jumps on the course as it is part of a TROT ride so you could do those if your a member if you dont fancy hiring it straight away.
