It is, just try to stick to the do's and stay away from the do-not do's and you will find everyone is a really lovely helpful bunch! However, begin with hosility and you will find it's given back in leaps and bounds. Just try not to take things the wrong way..

Well, if you're going to start by being quite aggressive then people are going to react. Maybe that's what youre aiming for. I don't think that anyone is being stuck up, but if you want to go down that route I would advise that you get yourself a dictionary and perhaps accept comments that are meant to be helpful.

I do sometimes think that newbies don't know how that the use of language on the forum is more direct and to the point than it would be in real life and think people are being rude when they are only trying to be helpful.
