I know,my friend was going to do this to her old boy whom she had had for 10 yrs, fortunately talked her out of it!!Couldnt imagine it,were the hell would they end up eh???At that age they should be enjoying a life of luxury after giving soooo much pleasure!But....not all people have a heart
LOL!! Only problem is, it will only take one unexperieced horse person/ very simple person who would think that is a good deal! I just feel so sorry for him, he should be advertised as a happy hacker, not as a horse that needs bringing on. That gives the impression that with enough work he would be jumping round badminton this year, when in actual fact my 15 yo mare with navicula has a much more realistic chance!!!!!!!!
By 'eck, you don't get much for your money these days!!!
Poor old lad, imagine putting him through the selling process at 20. Just hope the seller doesn't take him to the sales - I doubt if she'll get much interest selling him privately.

Makes me want to buy him just so i can chuck him out with the pampered veterans at our place - poor old sod.
Trouble is, she's probably looked at all the ads in H&H where middle-aged horses are up for £6k plus and thinks her horse cheap at half that price!
Don't know about needing 'bringing on' - think she left out the word 'retirement'!!!
