That’s absolutely amazing!!My ersatz Labrador, also known as a coconut retriever (he came back from the Caribbean with us) was called Bubu. It was derived from Tabu Impia, which means "another trouble" in Swahili. My children struggled with the Tabu, and it came out Bubu and it stuck. Although as is always the way with pets it was truncated even further to just Bu (Boo). He was an absolutely cracking dog. When he was three months old he attacked a burglar all by himself. The burglar had puppy needle marks in his ankle as he tried to climb out of a window. The police caught him the next day as he tried to get his bleeding ankles treated in the local hospital. Bu also saw off a stray dog that came into my house and was trying to see into my baby's cot (I was in the bath and could see this in the mirror - unfortunately I was nursing a C-section and couldn't scramble out of the bath very fast at all). This huge black and white shenzi job had put its paws on the edge of the cot and was sniffing. Bu came out of nowhere at a flat out, baying gallop and charged the intruder, head down and straight into the dog's side. The intruder was flipped in the air, scrabbled to its feet and raced out of the door, Bu in hot pursuit.
So, BooBoos, or Bubus, can be heroes, too.
