Hellooooo

Yup you guessed it tonight I landed myself in A&E  for the first time in 7 years of horse ownership!

How did I manage this you ask? I shall tell......

I was putting Lords bandages on his back legs in the stable after grooming him and he kicked his stomach with the opposite hind to the one I was bandaging.....well unfortunatley as he kicked his stomach he swung his leg over to "my" side and he caught my eye in the process :o

Thinking I just had a graze I jokingly exited the stable saying "MEDIC" (a long standing joke on our place but thats too long to tell :) ) and I saw the blood dripping into my eye (eeeew). I was rushed in to the barn by the YM and cleaned up being told I needed stiches ......not that I could tell as all I could see was the blood :o . Anyway I manage to get a lift up to A&E.......It's funny how quickly you get seen to when you say
"I've been kicked in the head by a horse" :p

So not too long later I have been glued up and had my tet jab, not quite the highlight of the evening for a needlephobic :o, also have a nicely swelling eye so no doubt will look like a panda thats been stung in the eyeball by a wasp:p

Ben and jerrys and some pinapple liquor for those that managed to read :D

ooowwwweeee! not nice! hope you're not too sore!

my friend managed to get himself two black eyes and 20 stitches in his face on wednesday by fixing something in the gym! and he was in A&E for 9 hours waiting for stitches!

I was once doing up a cross surcingle and my hair tickled his belly and he kicked me in the head. Luckily no blood for me, but a nice looking black eye.

Hope you feel better soon

It always worries me that my little one might dislike feeling my hair and kick at her tummy!

Hope you're not too sore in the morning, keep up with the painkillers and let us know how you heal!

Hope your horsey was suitably cuddly and apologetic ;)

Oh boogles poor you (((hugs))) hope your feeling a bit better now and hopefully your swelling (or second head :D) will go down very quickly.
Just goes to show how a simple routine thing can put you in hospital!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone :)

I'm not as black and blue as I expected nor am I looking like I have consumed a bad crab :p I am however feeling shakey and flu-like so I had the boys turned out for me this am :o

On relfection I have been V lucky as the whole incident could have been so much worse.

RebelRebel I shall share the medic story with you later on I promise.... am off to find some paracetamol now
