I have a pony mad neice. Sadly her parents aren't understanding of her addiction & she lives too far away to ride our pony, but I was thinking of getting her some good pony reads for Christmas. I'm a bit out of the loop on what's in print these days & certainly don't know any newer books so any suggestions?
Are any of the Jill books in print these days or would they seem too old fashioned? I loved them when I was her age.

I am fairly sure they have just reprinted the Jill books, i loved them too! Pippa Funnell has just written some pony books but i don't know anything else about them.....

Have a look at www.fidrabooks.com.
They have reprinted several good pony books. They all seem to be priced at £12 and include Easter the Showjumper, Fly By Night and Silver Snaffles.
I wish I could get an original Silver Snaffles for £12!
I found the Fidra website a bit confusing, but I am easily confused...what you want is the online shop section.
Hope this helps! Jane.

My aunt had her first book published recently. It's called The Bay Mare, by Sue Howes. She writes for Horse and Pony mag as well (I think H&P anyway, there's a quite a few of that type and they all seem to be the same)!

Don't forget the £2.75 P&P on each book if purchased from one of Amazon's marketplace sellers - it's a fixed price that the sellers have no control over - which is why they price low to compensate.

Definitely the Jill books!! I loved them too when I was little and I was even thinking about buying some of the re-printed ones to re-read them (I'm now 27)!

If she is pony mad these books will stick in her memory for ever.

You will be the bestest auntie ever! :-)
