Hi there

I learned to ride in Germany but now I am living in the UK. When I first moved here I was had a few private lessons at the local riding school. Now I want to take up group lessons again and look for a horse share later on in the year.
Since my English is quite good, I generally get all those horse specific expression from the context. However I would like to get a few books to learn the horsey vocabulary.

Any recommendations? It should cover the basics but also go a bit further since I'm an intermediate rider. It should cove stable management, some horse anatomy and illnesses, different disciplines,...

Thanks for your help! :)

Autobiography of Nick Skelton is good. It's over 10 years old, but the language is the same .

There's also a brilliant Horsemans Dictionary which covers anything and everything in every discipline .
It is in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Teg :)

Thanks for your tips.
The autobiography looks interesting although I was more looking for a reference book/specialised book.
I found the dictionary on the BHS website though, looks as it could be useful :)
