Has anyone read "Riding Between the Worlds" or "The Tao of Equus" by Linda Kohanov?

Amazon have e-mailed me with advertising for these books and they look quite interesting; but unlike some books on Amazon, with these two you can't read inside the front cover.

I'd be interested to hear any opinions on this author and her books.

Hi,

I have read both of these books and I would say that it depends on what sort of a person you are in relation to horses. If you view them as quite spiritual beings and believe them to be healing and therapeutic, these books are wonderful. They are pretty deep in places and can be hard going, but all in all I think Linda's experiences are eye opening.
Then again, I believe that there is much more to horses than meets the eye.
Hope this helps!

I have read both of those books.

They are quite deep and it really depends on what kind of person you are as to whether you will or won't enjoy them.

Some of it is very quirky but I can read between that kind of stuff and still 'get' what she is trying to say.

I don't feel like I am being very helpful. Ummmm, I would say if you want to read something very different, want to look at things from a different angle and have hours to kill then go for it.

Would I read them again? No. Infact I sold the books but in fairness they sold very quickly for almost what I paid for them.

The first book is better than the second book. If you read 'Toa of Equus' first and enjoy it, then buy the other one. (Unless they are selling both at a very good price)!
