Books

It depends on your tastes. I have just listened to the audiobook of the first one whilst driving. I would say very negligible storyline, probably 75% of the book is graphic description of gay sex between the two main characters. Put it this way - there were not many points in the book where I didn't turn it off before driving into a yard in case someone overheard it while I was parking! I have not seen the TV series. My literary tastes are wide-ranging, and not necessarily highbrow (I do read/listen to a lot of very lowbrow stuff and am definitely not easily shocked), but I think this is the most sex I have ever encountered in a 'mainstream' book!
Thankyou. I don't mind a bit of smut but it does need a storyline with it for me to be able to enjoy it.

Yes, like I said they're no literary masterpieces but they're very entertaining and easy to read. "Hockey smut" is a whole genre that I only found out about thanks to Heated Rivalry. I'm still obsessed with Shane and Ilya and may have rewatched episodes 4,5 and 6 several times over the last few weeks. I may as well have moved into the cottage myself😆.
Have you read Pucking Around? No further comment on its contents but it sounds like you may enjoy the books 😂

There's less sex as the books go on - The author herself said there's too much sex in the first book and the first part of the second, then she learned that sex also needs to move the plot along. There is still a lot of sex but there is plot too.

No. These are the only ones I've read but I heard of Pucking Around on a Heated Rivalry podcast I listened to. Like I said, I'm a bit obsessed with it. I'm not that bothered about reading more hockey smut at the moment. They were fun but I'm not desperate for more of the genre!
