OH bought me Dublin River boots for Christmas, having read that the new style ones had sorted out problems with the linings that the original design had. But unfortunately after a few wears the lining around one heel had broken down and come away from the boot. We took them back to Countrywide who gave us money back without any query or quibble... The manager there said that they'd had a lot of returns with faults...

So ..aside from Dubarry (too expensive) and Rydale Malhams...anything else to consider?

I too had problems with my river boots, my OH bought me a pair for my birthday last April & i ended up taking them back to place of purchase towards the end of Nov as not only had the lining ripped, they were letting in water too

Decided that i couldn't wait that long as the weather being what it is i needed them for now. Instead they offered me an exchange & i got some Woof Wear boots for round the yard & some Mark Todd Cook Boots for riding in, both are lovely, & i must say im very impressed with the Woof Wear boots

The shop also very kindly let me have my broken Dublin boots back, for summer use they say, with a bit of silicone they should become waterproof again according to OH, Bonus
