Booster jab side effects??

Hi my mare had her flu/tetanus jab yesterday morning and since yesterday afternoon has been very lathergic and reluctant to walk, hanging her head low. I have spoken to the vet who said she has a stiff neck - has anyone else experienced this????
 
It does happen frequently with some horses.

My old lad's feet went splat a week after his last jabs and then abcessed, which went into the bone. It cost me ££££s in vet's fees and it was terribly frightening!

If your horse has never had a reaction before then check with your vet if it's the same brand of vaccine.

Just wait for it to leave her system.

I also like to feed a liver detox such as Global Herb's Restore or plain and simple milk thistle seeds pre and post vaccine and wormer.
 
A few at our yard, including mine had a bad reaction last year.
Temperature, lethargic, head hanging, not off food but not as keen as usual.

They were 'down' for 2-3 days.
 
my boy had a stiff neck looked like he had whip lash i was worried as i had never seen it before so phoned the vet and the said it was common an 2 keep his neck warm a hold a hotwater bottle on it for a while and rise his food an water off the floor so he can reach within 3 days he was fine
