I have a gorgeous pair of schnieder boots bought ages ago and never worn. They are vintage (1950s) and just simply beautiful - and they even fit me. However, realistically I only ever wear my Bromonts (and need a new pair) and the chances of me wearing in and using these boots is slender.

So really I should ebay them (they are in fact listed, but I am having a wobble over it) to buy some new bromonts. But... I keep looking at them standing there and... they are lovely. Is it over-sentimental to keep them just because they are truly lovely, and I'll never find anything like them again?

Don't sell them. You can buy bromonts any day, you can't buy well fitting vintage boots that often...

Also, had a little eBay snoop and they are lovely - too lovely not to hang on to!!

Another vote for keep them, beuatiful boots like that, and which fit well are like rocking horse poo. You never know, you might want to ponce around in them in the future. They also tend to go for peanuts so you prob won't get their true worth.
If you need the money or are short of space then sell, but if you can hide them away and love them that that's what I would do!!
(I am now wondering if my 5.5 - 6 feet would fit in them as they are exactly my type of boot!!)

Thank you for the thoughts - and for swaying me in that direction! I guess my old bromonts could hang on a little longer - who cares if they have holes I can fit a mane comb through?

ThePony - with thinnish socks you might. What size other boots (and brand) do you have? If they go, it really should be to a good home, y'know...

my bromonts are a size 6 and fit well, though my devon pros are 5.5, I do suspect my feet are too large, but goodness they are gorgeous boots!
