Having splashed out on a pair of Welligog Ranger boots they recommend using a boot tree when not wearing the boots. I looked on ebay but have no idea of what to get.

Do the riding boot ones fit this type of country boot?

The wooden ones seems really expensive yet the plastic ones really cheap. Are the plastic ones as good?

I tried to find some wooden ones last year but gave up the end and just bought the plastic ones from a local shoe shop (though even that wasn't easy).

When I sold my Maxwell boots some years ago I sold the boots and trees separately. I got £80 for the boots - and £60 for the trees - so I guess the wooden ones have always been expensive and sought after. But I they will be much stronger than plastic ones; probably a case of you get what you pay for.
