Good morning all, my girlfriend has taken the ride on an 18.2 hunter to event this season - and we are after abit of xc boot advice from fellow forum members.

We currently have 2 x 16.2 horses which both have a pair of the Pro-Lite Closed Tendon boots in size Large to go XC, but this appears to be the largest size available and when we try them on they were clearly too small.

Can anybody lend any help to steer us in the right direction??

Thanks in advance.

Woof wear, premier equine and NEW do bigger sizes I think.
Their websites should have the dimensions of their boots on, so have a look.
Good luck, I used to hate finding boots for my big lad, but I think the range has got bigger.

My old horse wasn't tall (only 16.2) but was very chunky as he was part ID. For cross country, none of the biggest boots in any brand I could find would fit him, so I got them custom made from a retailer at a BE event who took his measurements so they fit perfectly. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but I'll find them out, they did a nice range of colours too.

Miss Moose - could well have been Style - they make everything themselves so will make boots to order and have a wide range of colours.

You could also try NEW as their factory is also in this country and they were super-helpful when I contacted them about something else.

I have an 18.2 too although mine is a full feathered, pure bred clydesdale so my advice may be too big if this one is skinnier.
The only ones that actually fit for us are premier equine sport boots and for some reasons the white ones are always bigger than the other colours?!? I know they're not a rugged XC boot as such but they really are the only thing I can find that goes anywhere near.

My horse is similarly sized and I found boots were a nightmare. Given up trying to find long travel boots, have decided on PE Stable wraps for travelling instead.

I found PE XC boots to fit - the aircooled event boots. I also like Equilibrium stretch and flex wraps. They fit very well for flatwork/hacking.
