I sold my awesome long MH leather boots at the weekend, and am now after a new pair of smart short boots and chaps/gaiters.

At the moment I ride in MH boots and leather chaps (I think they are called Rangers?) anyway, I am after something that is smarter. I have been looking at the Tredstep ones, but would prefer lace up boots.

What do you have? What do you recommend? I have £100 to spend, but will up to £150 if need be.

Thank xx

How about ariats? If you shop around you should be able to get a pair of lace up boots for about £70 - £90 and the chaps for about £50. V smart looking and the chaps are available in a large number of heights and widths so you are likely to find something that fits very nicely.

I got tredsteps off Derby House and there definitely the best and most comfy I have ever owned. I've had them since Christmas and they're bascially moulded to my leg.

I love my Ariat boots and gaiters they are so so comfy, I use mine for hunting as they are smart too. I think my boots were £55 in a sale and the gaiters were £100 but well worth the money.

I have found the Ariat Concord gaiters and the Ariats Heritage III lace up boots. I am loving the tan/brown colour too... but should I stick with black???

I have looked at Tredstep ones, and I did see them in my local tack shop. I tried them on, and they felt a little stiff. I know they mould round your leg etc, but they really felt like cardboard, and it kinda put me off them, as these were what I was originally looking at.
