I put my Connie mare in brushing boots for hacking to protect her legs.

Recently we have had three cases locally of dogs attacking horses- the most recent happened to a lady on our yard. Her pony was fortunately wearing boots, which took most but not all of the brunt of the attack.

This has made me doubly sure that I want my girl in boots for hacking, however, yesterday, when I took off the Woof brushing boots (oh the irony of the name!) her legs were sweaty and hot which concerned me.

What boots do you use in hot weather that give maximum protection from knocks, but won’t overheat?

Thanks all.

I'm looking into these also! Unsure of the sizing though!
I purchased the Tri zone & I'm very pleased with them. I found the size guide to be accurate, I purchased front and backs for both my pony and my friend's horse. For my 14.2 Connie, I have small for front legs, medium for the back.
