Are there any boots you recommend to help present windgalls for every day work and then for show jumping and competing ht?

Also is the windgall supplement best or a general all round joint supplement for a 6yr old horse? I the latter, which do you recommend?

Any stories of horses competing with windgalls appreciated!

I think the best prevention is to take care of the horse in general, keep legs cool, wash or hose after work, do not work too hard or jump on a hard or poor surface, make sure the horse is properly conditioned and fit enough for the job required of it, boots are not going to prevent them developing.

A good joint supplement may help but it is more about good management, poor conformation may mean it is hard to prevent them forming but there is no reason a horse cannot continue to compete, if they are due to conformation that may be the limiting factor not the windgalls.

^^this. My mare had windgalls when I got her, aged 6. They go down in cold weather (love turning out in snow!) And seem worse after fast work on hard ground so I try to take a bit of care. Boots don't make much difference. Bandaging overnight helps a bit but tbh they don't cause a problem.
My mare is 16 now and has evented to novice and now doing medium dressage :)
