Boots for a hairy legged cob

I've had my traditional cob for a couple of years now. mostly just hacking about - but recently discovered the joys of ODE with him. I have actually been jumping him with no boots on, but a couple of friends have recommended he should wear some jumping. Only thing is, when i tried my (reasonably extensive) collection, they didn't really do up round his leg, or were too long.

He's a 15.2 with a fair amount of feather starting from his knee. I don't really want to bandage as would worry about tension being correct due to all the hair!

Does anyone know of a cob sized boot, but with a decent width??

Good luck, I've never found any boots that truly fit a hairy cob. I figure he has hair protection so personally don't bother with boots.
