I've recently purchased a gelding who is a chunky monkey. He's shire x ID and has heavy legs, I bought him L LeMieux brushing boots for his fronts which barely fit, and XL for his backs which just about fit. I can't put XL on his fronts as they're too long. I need brushing boots for him as his fully shod and does brush. I don't know if anyone can recommend brushing boots (I also need XC boots too) that are good for chunky horses that don't have too much length to them? Any help is much appreciated!

I’ve never had a heavy horse sorry but when I was looking for brushing boots recently I’m sure I see that Woof do a wide version of the club boots.

Just had a Quick look and they don’t seem to be a separate boot but a size choice of the regular club. Viovet have x-wide in the green for sure

Do you keep him in feather or clipped ?
he's clipped

I had a look and it seems they only do XW in cob.. my horse is 16.2 so not sure if they'd be too small. I may order them just to try anyways! It would be good if Woofwear shared the measurements for the boots!!

I bought a pair of Equilibrium Flatwork wraps in WB/XL size, for my 17.2 heavily built wb; and they fitted well. Sadly this lovely boy died of Inflammatory Bowel disease.
Since then I've been using these wraps sometimes on my loan horse; he's a nearly 17h Clydie x with lots of feather, and he's around 800kg! Massive guy, and they fit him as well, and they're not too long. They stretchy, look smart and they don't heat up the tendons.

Just wanted to say that I ordered two pairs and they fit him like a glove! I was amazed to get boots that fit. Thank you so much for the recommendation
