I am at a loss as to what boots I should buy for my 17.2 warmblood for hunting this season. Last year we had some brush boots on the back and over reach boots on the frount.

Last year he had a nasty injury on his lower shin which ruptured the bone membrane this caused him to be out of work for 4 months, but I dont know if there is a durable boot that protects the shin area??

Also he has an old wound on the inside of his hide leg level with the fetlock that he just keeps catching while in the box, stable etc so I could do with a hid leg boot thats covers that. It just sits below his brush boots!

Sorry this is abit rambled! If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!!!!!!

I would get prolite closed tendon boots for the front and event boots for the hinds. They are light, protective and dont absorb water. I used to work for a hunt master (huge yard, hunted 4x week, 2 horses a day) and the only boots they would ever use was prolites.

I'd also recommend the Premier Equine air cooled eventing boots

Best boots i ever bought, i have front and back and after a few times they hold the shape to your horses leg. Also like the pro-lite they dont hold water. I dont work for PE but i've spent all my life looking for a great pair of boots and like to tell the world when i have!

Im afraid i have to disagree. I got a pair of PE air coloed event boots and they were awful on my horse. Slipped down, had to take them off half way through the day and rubbed his legs. Now have the New Equine Wear version and they are much better. But i suppose what suits one doesnt suit another!
