Hi guys...ok i need some long riding boots....but i have short lower legs...i ahve tried boots and gaiters, but they come over my knee and it makes me look as if i have no knee.... and very uncomfortable. I would like boots with a zip preferably, i dont have skinny calves but i dont have fat calves either..... any help out there??

I think mountain horse and regent do shorter lengths in some of their boots. Airat also do a massive range of sizes and heights of chaps if you choose to stick with boots and chaps. Online might be easier as you can go through the size charts and measure yourself. I've never found a shop that stocks normal people size boots!! Equitator also do masses of diff sizes http://www.equitector.com/longriding.cfm

I have exactly the same problem, but i need slim fitting with short length, and without spending a fortune! i have risked buying loads of pairs off ebay....and none fit well. i now have 2 pairs of gorgeous leather boots just sat there as I still have not got them back on ebay yet! lol

I have just got a pair of mountain horse junior richmond high riders. They are great for my stumps (Lower leg length 36cm) they are a bit tight round my calf to start with but the leather will stretch and if not my friend (harness maker) can move the zips out a bit.

They were only £146 from rideaway.

I second the Mountain Horse boots - I bought a pair of thr classic boots from Equinet (half price atm) and i have regular calves but short from knee to heel! The short length fit me really well - do havea little bit extra would should allow for whenthey drop at the ankle, but I am very pleased with mine! :)
