Hi everyone, just after some advice on booting. I have a 13 yo ISH who I event at BE100. This time ladt year he came in hopping lame and upon investigation the vet found soft tissue damage in the near fore leg. After lengthy box rest and hand walking I started riding him again in May. We have spent the summer hacking in walk gently. We then introduced short bursts of trot in August and slowly built this up. We have now started short controlled canter and everything seems to be going well. Next week I would like to take him back in the school to do some light schooling.
My question is that now I am upping his workload and starting to ask a bit more should I be booting him for extra support? Ive only ever booted to prevent knocks cross country so Im not really sure what i should be looking for?
Thanow!
