Boots for turn out?

What boots are best to turn out an incredibly clumsy horse in? Would wraps be better? Brushing boots were first though but would need them to breath so his legs don't cook.
Or are no boots best and just take the risk? Although that would mean he would spend most of his life in bandages...

Any ideas?

you can get leg wraps like chaps for the horse that are breathable and they cover right down to the hoof.

Legacy breathable brushing boots

Very cheap (less than £20), very breathable (as little holes in the neoprene) and v secure.

My TB has a pair she has worn every day in the field for the past two years and hardly a mark on them. Her legs are never sweaty even in the blazing sun.

24/7 at moment, assume couldn't wear boots for that long but at least could halve the risk!

I would use no boots as you can do more damage by over heating the tendons than the horse can kicking itself

turned my mare out in legacy brushing boots and they rubbed her just on the fetlock and she now has 4 huge scars!
